In a few days we begin another great adventure. We are going to China with Keren Su, a well known Chinese-American photographer, architect, artist and international traveler. We have followed him vicariously since 2007 when we stayed in his lovely Lian Lodge in the village of PingAn near Guilin in Southeastern China. After coming home, I subscribed to his newsletter in which he tells of his most recent travels in the most beautiful way, including his photographs of the people, the wildlife and the magnificent scenery. I was so captivated with his writings and his incredible photographs that Tom and I vowed to take a trip with him if ever possible. Now please understand that many of his trips would be more than we can handle! Traveling to the northeast coast of Scotland to photograph the puffins, biking across China, exploring the Antarctic to cavort with the polar bears--all are routine for Keren. For us? Not so much.
But finally this trip appeared on his website, and I knew this was for us. I am so happy to present The Hidden Beauty of China.
